Tane Mahuta is an incredible icon of New Zealand. To see a tree that is the height of half a rugby field is pretty amazing. I am lucky enough to have seen Tane Mahuta. And yes it just blows you away how incredibly big that he is. He is huge. I always wondering if people joined hands around him, how many people this would take. What do you think? I think about 40 people! I hope that the disease that is effecting the kauri trees is sorted before it hurts Tane Mahuta.
